HOW IT WORKS

Individuals 
To create a more fair and exciting cup including these five events we have done some changes on the scores for 2022.
The new way of counting the scores for the total cup is: 

• In the total cup, points from four out of five sub-competitions are counted 
• If you have received points in all five sub-competitions, the sub-competition with the least points is automatically erased. 

Association Cup 
In the association cup, we continue to distribute points to the top results of 1-5 in each cup women and mens . All five sub-competitions are included and counted in the association cup, same as before.

* In order for Juniors to be able to take points in the Senior Cup in sub-competition five (Olympic distance), the participant must be registered in the Senior class and in that case, you will not receive any points in the Junior Cup for that sub-competition. The total Junior Cup points for these participants will be counted in the first four sub-competitions.

** Youth will not be able to get points in the Senior Cup in sub-competition five because the Youth class are not allowed to race in Olympic Distance. The total points in the Youth Cup are counted on the first four sub-competitions.

  SM = Swedish Championship
  JSM = Swedish Championship for Juniors 18-19 year
  USM = Swedish Championship for Youth 16-17 year 
  RM = National Championship for Age Group from 35 years and older

POINTS DISTRIBUTION

The system is basically based on the World Triathlon's system for the WC series, where the point differences between the top results is greater than between for example 19th and 20th place.

In the association cup, the points are distributed by each members results from 1-5 in the classes boys/girls, youth, junior, senior and all master as follow

​Shared placement in the overall cup
In the case of shared placements, the following distinction rules apply:

• At first; most number of wins, second places, third places, etc.
• Secondly, mutual meetings
• Thirdly
  - Senior (elite)/master classes - best placement at SM / RM Olympic distance
  - Junior/youth classes - best placement at JSM / USM Sprint distance
  - Boys/girls classes - best placement at the CUP final

PRIZE MONEY

For each competition
All competitions in the Swedish Triathlon Cup, will be awarded with prize money. Prize money is awarded to the top three results for the senior class. The prize money is distributed according to the table.

If the classes starts at the same time, the prize money is awarded to the top three crossing the finishing line first, regardless of what class.

Totalt
The Swedish Triathlon Cup 2022 (senior) is distributed
44 000 SEK between those primarily placed in the final results.

The prize money is distributed according to the table.
